Wellington Robert HAIRE is my first cousin four times removed; we are related through his grandparents William and Alice (BROWN) HAIRE. Wellington was born 31 July 1863, in Huntingdon, Québec, to Thomas and Margaret Agnes (ALEXANDER) HAIRE; he was the older of two children. He was baptized 26 December 1863 in Huntingdon, Québec; minister was Alfred ANDREWS, witnesses were Anthony WHYTE and Margaret A. HAIRE. In the 1870 U.S. census it shows him and his family living in Colfax, Missouri, in 1881 they are back in Canada, living in Huntingdon, Québec. I am finding no records of him after the age of 18, so either he died, or changed the name he used, or moved back to Ireland where his parents emigrated from.
