Walter Simonton Jordan

Walter Simonton JORDAN is my fourth great grand uncle; we are related through his parents Solomon I. and Christiana (SIMONTON) JORDAN.  Walter was born 6 December 1768[1] in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the oldest of eleven children.  Walter married first Hannah SMITH, 8 August 1793 in Trenton, Maine by John URGUHART.[2]  He and Hannah had the following five children: Walter, Asa, Joseph, Christiana and Mercy. He married second Nancy G. GRAVES, March 1813.  He and Nancy had the following six children: Hannah, Nancy G., Adaline, Edward Luther G., John Luther G. and Sarah S.  He died 23 May 1847, leaving a will dated 12 December 1846[3] and was probated 1 September 1847.[4]  He is buried in Woodbine Cemetery in Ellsworth, Maine.
