Arthur Edward Wight

Arthur Edward WIGHT is my first cousin five times removed; we are related through his grandparents William and Margaret (HANEY) WESCOTT.  Arthur was born the eighth of ten children to Edward and Theodosia (Dosha) (WESCOTT) WIGHT on 12 August 1837 in Penobscot, Maine[1].  He was enumerated in the 1840 and 1850 censuses with his parents in Penobscot, Maine.[2]  In the 1870 it shows that he’s listed with a wife, Hannah E., they are living in Presque Isle, Maine, he is working as a cabinet maker.[3]  He and Hannah are listed again in the 1880 census, and he is still listed as a cabinet maker.[4]  In the 1900 census he and Hannah are listed together still, they are now living in Caribou, Maine; he is now listed as a carriage maker.[5]  There is no record of his or Hannah’s deaths, but in the Aroostook County records there is a listing of them both in the Probate index[6], I was unable to locate the specific records for their probates and possible wills, I will keep looking through them, they are not indexed digitally, so there are 100’s of thousands of records to read through.
