Solomon HASLAM is my first cousin five times removed; we are related through his grandparents Solomon I. and Christiana (SIMONTON) JORDAN, my fifth great grandparents.  Solomon is the fifth of twelve children born to George and Hannah (JORDAN) HASLAM.  Solomon was born 28 April 1801 in Ellsworth, Maine.  He married Clarissa MOSELY 21 September 1829.  They had seven children:  George L., William M., Solomon, Philena W., Clarinda M., James, and Emma Y.  The family was enumerated in 1830 in Hancock County, Maine.[1]  The family was then enumerated in 1840 in Plantation #14, Hancock County, Maine.[2]  In 1850 and 1860 the family was enumerated in Waltham, Maine.[3]  Solomon was a farmer.  Solomon died 21 January 1864; he is interred at the Hillside Cemetery in Waltham, Maine.[4]
