Agnes PATTEN

Agnes is my sixth great grandmother.  She is the daughter of Dr. William and Jane (KOHLER) PATTEN.

Agnes PATTEN was born 1726 in Wells, York, Maine.  She died about July 1795 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[1]  She married Benjamin JELLISON 8 July 1849 in Wells, York, Maine.[2]  Benjamin was born 1720 in Berwick, York, Maine.  He is the son of Ichabod and Patience (DONNELL) JELLISON.  He died 13 April 1792 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[3]  He was part of the Louisburg Expedition and in the Revolutionary War.[4]

Agnes and Benjamin had the following children:

  1. Patience JELLISON born 30 December 1750 in Biddeford, York, Maine.
  2. Sarah JELLISON born about 1752 in Biddeford, York, Maine. She died 31 August 1767 in Biddeford, York, Maine.
  3. Benjamin JELLISON was born about 1752 in Biddeford, York, Maine. He was baptized 21 January 1753 at First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[5]  He died June 1830 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[6]  He served as a private in the Revolutionary War.[7]
  4. William JELLISON was born about 1752 in Biddeford, York, Maine. He was baptized 21 January 1753 at the First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[8]  He died November 1810 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.  He served in the Revolutionary War.[9]  William married Martha BOURNE 18 November 1776 in Wells, York, Maine.[10]
  5. Joseph JELLISON was born about 1754 in Biddeford, York, Maine. He was baptized 22 September 1754 at the First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[11]  He died 17 July 1727 in Mariaville, Hancock, Maine.  He served as a private in the Revolutionary War.[12]  Joseph married Maria JORDAN about 1780.  He and Maria are my fifth great grandparents.
  6. Elizabeth JELLISON was born 3 January 1757 in Biddeford, York, Maine. She was baptized 8 November 1757 at the First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[13]  She died 22 February 1819 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[14]  Elizabeth married Col. Melatiah JORDAN Esq. 20 August 1776 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[15]  He is my second cousin six times removed.
  7. Nathaniel JELLISON was born 9 March 1759 in Biddeford, York, Maine.[16] He was baptized 10 Jun 1759 at the First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[17]    He died 6 August 1827 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.  Nathaniel married twice; first to Elizabeth MADDOX in 1778.[18]  He married second to Sarah YOUNG 13 July 1801 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[19]
  8. John JELLISON was born 13 January 1761 in Biddeford, York, Maine. He was baptized 18 January 1761 at the First Congregational Church in Biddeford, York, Maine.[20]  He died of old age 23 February 1850 in Ellsworth, Hancock, Maine.[21]  He served in the War of 1812 as a major in Lt. Col. J. Black’s Co.[22]  John Married Elizabeth Tarbox MILLIKEN.[23]  She is my fourth cousin, six, seven and eight times removed.  John and Elizabeth were not related by blood.
  9. Nancy JELLISON was born about 1762 in Biddeford, York, Maine. She married twice; first to Solomon BURNHAM.[24]  She married second to a Mr. AYERS.[25]
  10. Jane JELLISON was born about 1764 in Biddeford, York, Maine. She married George Ross LORD 2 Mary 1789 in Scarborough, Cumberland, Maine.[26]  George is my third cousin seven times removed.  They were not related by blood.
  11. Martha JELLISON was born and died 6 April 1766 in Biddeford, York, Maine.
