Almira S. GARCELON

Almira is my third cousin four times removed through Nathaniel and Dorothy (HILL) JORDAN; fourth cousin three times removed through Nathaniel and unknown spouse JORDAN; sixth cousin six times removed through John and Elizabeth (BIRCHARD) ALCOCK; and sixth cousin three times removed through Reverend Robert and Sarah (WINTER) JORDAN.  She is the daughter of Ebenezer Annis and Catherine (JORDAN) GARCELON.

Almira S. GARCELON was born 26 September 1824 or 1826 in New Portland, Somerset, Maine.[1]  She died of old age 1 February 1899 in Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine.[2]  She is interred at Old Mill Town Cemetery in Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine.[3]  Almira married John B. MOODY 17 April 1844 in New Portland, Somerset, Maine.[4]  John was born 1819 in Maine.[5]  He is the son of Robert and Rebecca (CHANDLER) MOODY.  He died 31 March 1887 in Perham, Aroostook, Maine.[6]  He is interred at Old Mill Town Cemetery in Mapleton, Aroostook, Maine.[7]

I could not find verifiable evidence of any children for Almira and John.  There was listed in the 1870 U.S. census an Edward E. MOODY born about 1857, but he was not listed with the family in the 1860 census or any other records connecting him to Almira and John.[8]
