Anna PARKER

Anna PARKER is my fourth cousin four times removed; we are related through Dominicus “Indian Killer” and Hannah “Ruhannah” (TRISTRAM) JORDAN.  She lived her entire life in Limington, York, Maine.  She was enumerated in the 1850 census with her husband and children.[1]  Her husband was a lifelong resident of Limington.

Anna PARKER was born 20 October 1796 in Limington, York, Maine.[2]  She was the daughter of Abraham Chase and Mary (MITCHELL) PARKER.  She died 13 April 1853 in Limington, York, Maine.[3]  She is interred at North Limington Cemetery in North Limington, York, Maine.[4]  Anna married David BOOTHBY 23 November 1816 in Limington, York, Maine.[5]  David was born 20 December 1794 in Limington, York, Maine.[6]  He was the son of David and Sarah (AVERILL) BOOTHBY.  He died 13 January 1868 in Limington, York, Maine.[7]  He was interred at North Limington Cemetery in North Limington, York, Maine.[8]

David and Anna had the following children:

  1. Shadrack BOOTHBY born 1817 in Limington, York, Maine.[9] He died of typhoid pneumonia on March 1883 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts at 580 Warren Street.[10]  He is interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford, York, Maine.[11]  He was an accountant by trade.  Shadrack married twice; first her married Abigail S. BOOTHBY 27 April 1840 in Limington, York, Maine.[12]  Abigail was born in 1816 in Standish, Cumberland, Maine.  She was the daughter of James and Rachel (CUMMINGS) BOOTHBY.  She died in 1852 in Biddeford, York, Maine.  She is interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford, York, Maine[13]  There we three children.  Shadrack married second to Abigail’s sister Mary 14 October 1853 in Biddeford, York, Maine.  She was born 1829 in Standish, Cumberland, Maine.[14]  She died 26 December 1878 in Biddeford, York, Maine.[15]  She for some reason has two burial memorials set up one for Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford, York, Maine and the other for Greenwood Cemetery in Biddeford York, Maine.[16]  There were two children.
  2. Sylvester BOOTHBY was born 20 December 1822 in Limington, York, Maine. He died 23 March 1900 in Berlin, Coos, New Hampshire.  He is interred at North Limington Cemetery in North Limington, York, Maine.[17]  Sylvester married twice; first he married Elizabeth BRAGDON 3 December 1846 in Limington, York, Maine.[18]  She was born 18 August 1826 in Limington, York, Maine.  She was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (SMALL) BRAGDON.  She died 28 July 1857 in Limington, York, Maine.[19]  She is interred at North Limington Cemetery in North Limington, York, Maine.[20]  There were three children.  Sylvester married second to Clara Olive LORD 15 November 1857.  Clara was born 15 December 1830 in Hiram, Oxford, Maine.  She was the daughter of Thomas Bradbury and Clarissa (WATSON) BRADBURY.  She died of internal injuries sustained in an accident, 14 June 1905 in Berlin, Coos, New Hampshire.[21]  There we no children.
  3. Israel BOOTHBY was born 1827 in Limington, York, Maine. He died of suicide by shooting 3 February 1880 in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine.[22]  He is interred at Forest Grove Cemetery in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine.[23]  He was a bank cashier by trade.  Israel married Hannah Emeline SMITH 5 April 1852 in Limington, York, Maine.[24]  Hannah was born 12 July 1834 in Standish, Cumberland, Maine.  She was the daughter of Thomas and Hannah (BOULTER) SMITH.  She died 22 February 1909.  She married either before or after Israel to a Mr. BELL.  Hannah is interred at Forest Grove Cemetery in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine.[25]  There were two sons.
  4. Caroline W. BOOTHBY born 6 May 1831 in Limington, York, Maine. She died 30 December 1875 in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine.[26]  Caroline married Thomas A. JOHNSON 20 May 1851 in Limington, York, Maine.[27]  Thomas was born 21 May 1827 in Cherokee Sound, Abaco, Bahamas.  He was the son of William and Sarah Curry (ALBURY) JOHNSON.  He died 22 June 1888 in Key West, Monroe, Florida.  He was interred at Key West Cemetery in Key West, Monroe, Florida.[28]  There were no children.
  5. Putnam S. BOOTHBY born 18 April 1834 in Limington, York, Maine. He died 19 March 1886 at 1106 Girard Street in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[29]  He is interred at North Limington Cemetery in North Limington, York, Maine.[30]  Putnam served in the Civil War in Company C, 17th Maine Regiment from 17 February 1763 to 4 June 1865.[31]  He was a hotel keeper by trade.  Putnam married Marantha A. SMALL 15 November 1857 in Limington, York, Maine.[32]  Marantha was born 18 April 1834 in Limington, York, Maine.  She was the daughter of Nathaniel Clark and Margaret (PHINNEY) SMALL.  She died of breast cancer 19 July 1915 in Limington, York, Maine.[33]  She was interred at North Limington Cemetery, North Limington, York, Maine.[34]  There was one son that died at age 2.
